Write to Inkclip (the “app”) is controlled by Project Daylily (“us”). This policy describes scenarios in which the app may collect personal information and how we manage it.
Coarse-grained aggregate analytics
The app operates in a webview, and we collect coarse-grained user data through Cloudflare Web Analytics in order to help us understand how to improve app performance. Our access to the data is always in aggregation, and therefore cannot be used to track any specific request, device, or user. Collected data include:
- Country;
- URL of the request;
- Type of device, operating system, and browser;
- Performance statistics such as load time and LCP.
Specifically, we do not collect:
- Precise location;
- User interactions or keystrokes;
- Specific model number of the device, or version numbers of the operating system or browser.
The processing and retention of analytics data is controlled by Cloudflare, and they may process data outside of your country. Refer to Cloudflare documentation for more details.
Unfortunately, due to our desire to simplify our technical implementation, there is currently no in-application mechanism to opt out of analytics collection. You may instead disable network access when you use the app, or block the domain of the analytics script (static.cloudflareinsights.com).
Data storage
The app may store configurations on your device to provide you with a consistent experience. Such configurations may include your language preference, and dark/light color scheme selection. These data are never sent to our servers.
The app does not store data on your device for tracking purposes, including but not limited to in cookies and localStorage. Any data for the purpose of coarse-grained aggregate analytics are ephemeral, only live in device memory, and are erased when you exit the app.
Non-applicable items
The app does not have a registration/account mechanism and all features are immediately available to use. We do not display any ads inside the app. We do not sell personal data.
The app is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Updates and inquiries
We may update this privacy policy as we develop our product. We will notify you of any changes by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and via our RSS feed.
